Whispering...Can Someone Out There Hear?
Why do we have unspoken needs even with a special someone whom u thought u'll be able to pour out your hearts to?
I wonder if all of us know who we really are and what we really want to be... Or do we live as we think we should be and what people expect us to be.
I used to have a very vivid picture of who i m, what i wanna be, who i wanna really have around me, what i treasure... I knew the essence of my life, so to speak. However, as i grow older (or should i say age? hahz), this picture seems to become more and more distant, more and more blurred. Aint that ironic? As we grow nearer towards the age where we supposedly should achieve our milestones we've set for ourselves, all of a sudden, we stop, we hesistate and we dare not set out to achieve what we thought we want. I wonder if it's because we lack the courage to pursue our dreams for we now have more considerations, or it's because we are no longer that certain about what we want.
for example, a person wants to reach GOAL A and then GOAL A will lead him/her on to reach GOAL B so on and so forth and eventually, the ultimate GOAL in life.
however, when we are so close to reaching GOAL A, we start to ponder, procrastinate and think of 1001 bad things that could happen upon reaching that goal. if we could decide to abandon having that goal altogether or just go ahead and achieve it, life would certainly be much easier. but the problem is more often than so, we delay achieving that goal, think about alternative goals and end up not achieving anything.
life is full of uncertainties. everyone will tell anyone that we only live once and achievements make up our life, be it tangible or intangible, visible or invisible, seen/heard or felt with the heart. how true is that? the only certainty in life is just that we all had the same beginning and we will all have the same ending. from ashes we are made, to ashes we shall return.
when we return to ashes, if we were given a choice to bring jus ONE something along, what would that be? probably, that ONE something is the most important thing in our lives.
